At Hackensack Meridian Health, we pride ourselves on being Life Years Ahead.
Our network is growing, innovative and forward-thinking. We are dedicated to pursuing bold pathways to create exceptional care, outstanding education and ground-breaking research. Our goal is to be a leader in helping people realize their best health and best life in the communities we are proud to serve.
The key to our success in 2017 was strategic expansion, game-changing partnerships and a fierce commitment to high-quality, convenient care that’s truly making history.
Our merger stands out among the many that are transforming health care today. Here’s why: we offer an unprecedented array of services and have unparalleled reach in New Jersey, connecting with two-thirds of the state.
With the addition of JFK Health this year, we are New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive health network with 16 hospitals and 450 patient care locations and physician offices. However, the size and scope of Hackensack Meridian Health is only part of our success story. In the last several months, we have continued to evolve as an organization that is truly improving health care.
We added an urgent care center and launched an incubator with the New Jersey Innovation Institute to create the next major breakthrough in health care delivery. With our academic partner Seton Hall University, we are on target to open a medical school this summer, one that will forge a new path in medical education to address dynamic changes in health care.
Through our historic partnership with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, we plan to open an outpatient center later this year, the first joint venture of its kind in the nation. This partnership will result in a uniform standard of care throughout the network, with access to clinical trials and enhanced research with a goal of finding cures for cancer faster. And we proudly announced in 2017 that are one of the few hospitals in the country to offer CAR T-cell therapy, the biggest breakthrough in cancer therapy in 30 years.
Additionally, we are exploring a partnership with Carrier Clinic, one of the state’s most respected behavioral providers to address the urgent need for more addiction treatment and psychiatric care. Plans are in the works to open an addiction treatment facility later in 2018.
We continue to transform care, investing in historic efforts to keep our communities healthy by investing in sophisticated technology and exceptional team members who provide highly orchestrated care so no one falls through the cracks.
Through all of these changes, our commitment to accountable, quality care is evident. Four of our hospitals were listed in the top 10 New Jersey hospitals by U.S. News & World Report: Hackensack University Medical Center (#1), Jersey Shore University Medical Center (#4), and Ocean Medical Center (#8). Our network hospitals consistently raise the bar on clinical care, receiving national accolades and awards.
We invite you to learn more about our integrated network and to join us as we change the state of health care!
